Episode 005: Ghostbusters

It’s the 30th anniversary of one of Dan’s all-time favorite films, so we’ve got one of the Ghostbusters fan community’s pioneers — Proton Charging’s Chris Stewart — to talk about the the history of the Boys in Gray. We trace the franchise back to its origins, play “what if” with John Belushi, learn the surprising truth about the very first GB movie poster, talk about the upcoming global viewing, reveal which famous sci-fi scribe wrote for the cartoon, and tackle the inevitable “will they or won’t they” topic of Ghostbusters 3. You Must Choose returns, and Chance Fortran discovers something strange in his neighborhood.

Original Ghostbusters jump suits, tan or grey? Becasue I think Casey Kasem and I disagree on this one.

Great episode, but I’m sad that the Ghostbusters video game (2009?) was not discussed. To me, the plot of the game is the third movie.

    • My understanding is that the jumpsuits were gray Nomex fight suits, but they may have also been dyed.

I was bummed we did not get to the videogame either, because I feel the same way!
